Gehst nach Europe, vergiss the Peitsche nicht

Everybody is always demanding that we need a different vision for Europe. Cornelia Bolesch is suggesting one in todays Sueddeutschen.

Is it Europe's future to be "faster", "better" and "more mobile" than the rest of the world? Who wants to live under this whip? Only a political vision with space for solidarity and security, will be enthuse people for Europe.

It is an interesting juxtaposition to the American Dream(longversion(tm)): You can if you want to and if you fail, it is YOUR fault. But you will not fail, no, you won't. Listen You will not, repeat after me. YOU WILL NOT FAIL.

I don't like this whip. I don't mind failing. I can be second or third - I have lost all my live. So, what? I am being loved, I love and I am happy at that.

This also doesn't mean I want to lose, or I am to passive to take part. Quite the contrary. I take very active part and am changing my and other peoples live in what I do and what I am involved in.

My vision of Europe? Don;t know, but a little bit more of Mediterranean coffeehouse culture please. Just sit there, relax, get your job done and admire the men and woman that walk bye.

P.S> Mrs Bolesch also makes some good point about the new countries (suggesting a reduction of their takings, but the big have Britain, does not like solidarity, and rather goes back on their word, to score cheap political points with the Sun and Bush.)
Honestly what is Blair’s game? What does he have to loose?

Even if it is Schaumschlaeger Opposition it is not Arschleckerei

Rudolf Maersch, writes some interesting articles. However this quote from an interview with him

Just gives me reason again, to affirm my support for a social democrat government with Green support. Even though, I know Herr Maresch, is not going to agree. Since it is quite clear that Germany under the CDU would be near Kirkut. Maybe Mr Maresch would have wanted that? I don;t know. However, as much as I dislike agressive standces, my reading of American fundamentalist expansionism - accross most Republicanism and Democrats can only be countered by a stronger, solidified Europe.
Ah well.

And another reason why I would prefer - US 1

As you all know I am not Anti-American, but Anti Bush. So, when one part of my argument is that having the Red and Greens stay in power it is also to keep a balance with the US. I will elaborate later, why I think that is important. But being treated with discontent for doing something that turns out to be the right behavior (Irak War) is despicable. And just for their pure arrogance, one should vote Green.

Why I will neither vote for the CDU nor FDP - ecology part one

Well, you know I like my windfarms

Heise gives a short summary on why Angela Merkel should shut up about nuclear power.

Reducing the level of investment and interest in eco-power will

  • bring up to 130.000 emplyees in mainly small to medium business their p45.

  • bring dependancy back into the hands of big power prducers, rather than decentralised energy production

  • be a turn around back to a generally disliked way of producing energy - with nuclear power

Tell me again the other reason apart from deployment of nuclear weapons in Germany that lead to the creation of the Greens?
Ah well, if it mobilises apathetic potential Green voters, she might continue to talk about it...

Why I will neither vote for the CDU nor FDP - intro

This is hopefully going to be a series on reasons, why it does not make sense to vote for the CDU in the next election - whenever that may be. Some areas:

Ecology
Terrorism
Irak
Relationship to US
Economy
Turkey
Asylum
Nationalism
Europe

Will happen over the next couple of weeks I guess.
