Strange

If you read British newspapers you get the impression that Germany demands an apology for the Dresden bombing. Strangely enough it appears, this is typical British Media spin and I suspect (well if you look at the papers, it is not only a suspicion) that it is from the usual anti-European forces that are simply so full of hate, they have internalised all projections. So much bile, so little peace.

The only person on German (apart from the right wing-rag Bild) side who demands an apology is a rightwing member of the CSU, Norbert Geis. I am not surprised. He was also a leading person demonstrating against the exhibition "Wehrmacht", which made public to a huge German audience the Warcrimes of the Wehrmacht, demystifying their innocence and revealing to a broad audience their involvemend in systematic killings or random revenge acts. And yes, that was a German exhibition (financed by the riches amassed from smokers (hehe)).

He was also one of the few that expressed support for Martin Hohmann, when he did not want to step down for his Anti-Semitic speech.

That is the kind of person that demands to be able to interpret German history as a history of victim.

Boy, am I glad, those people are not in power right now. Thank you, Bush! For helping Schroeder back into power.
